Streaks in Hair

Streaks in hair add great style to your hair. Many people opt for hot and bright shades, that makes their hairstyle stand out and look punk. On the other hand most people opt for highlights or color streaks, that are of more neutral color shades, so that they blend naturally with the hair base. This style of streaking hair, gives a more stylish and textured look. The bright colored streaks are mostly chunky are thicker in size, while the subtle, and naturally blending streaks are skinny and well placed. No matter which kind of streak shape, streak colors or way of getting streaks (at home or salon) you decide; it is important to understand which color will suit you.

Where to Put Streaks in Hair
To create a well-balanced natural hair color look, you need to put streaks of equal numbers on both the sides of your hair. First comb your hair, the way you want to keep them or the way your haircut stays. Do you want middle or side parting? Do you have bangs? If you part your hair in the middle then place at least three streaks each on both the sides. You can place one or two streaks behind. If you have bangs then make three section of the bangs hair, keep a thick layer of hair, and separate it using clips. Then take a thin layer of hair, and keep a small thin layer of the hair on top. The middle layer of the hair should be colored. If you side part your hair, then take more number of streaks on the bigger parted section, and lesser on the smaller section.

How to Steak Hair at Home
You can visit a stylist to get streaks in your hair. However, if you wish to streak hair at home, then you can go for the hair foils method, or the cap method for highlighting hair. In the foil method, you will need to separate some layers. Place these hair on foil, then apply hair color with brush and cover this hair section with foil. After 40 minutes, you can remove the foils and wash your hair. Another method is to use a cap, make holes in this cap. Take out the hair strand and apply hair color on them.

So, select the right shade and visit a stylist or use foil/cap to create stylist looking streaks hairstyles. Enjoy!
