Kids' rooms is the place where you can add all the colors, making it bright, just the way they make our lives by their mere presence. Whenever I think of children's bedroom decoration, I can only describe the decor in one word, "FUN"! I remember how I enjoyed spending time in my room putting up my own drawings and pictures and admiring them. I loved my bright colored walls and decorations and so I would like to share with you a few ideas.

Wall Decorations for Kids' Bedrooms

Wall Colors
Yes, I have stressed enough on the fact that kids' bedrooms must be bright colored. But you can always add the fun element on one of the walls. There are various paint color ideas to make the room look young and fun. Make one wall of the bedroom the wall of fame. Color this wall differently. If the rest of the room is pink make this one wall bright red. A striped wall like yellow and green. You could have hand-prints of your child on the wall in the shape of a frame, this hand-print frame can enclose all your child's artwork that he or she is proud of. This adds the personal touch to the room.

The Inspirational Wall
So you want your children to imbibe a few values to make them good human beings? Well then, you could put in frames with inspirational quotes. A calligraphy poster with quotes like, "Early bird gets the worm", adds a little value education. Quotes like these and many more put up in a way that looks interesting and not like a lesson at school, works well.

Favorite Superhero or Fairytale
Every young boy has a favorite superhero and every girl dreams of being Snow White or Cinderella. You can put up cut outs of these or even better would be painting these on the walls. A wind chime with trinkets from your child's favorite bedtime story, at the window is just perfect!

Shelf of Memories
This is a must have, in every child's room. You could put up pictures of your family on picnics, a family portrait and all those pictures which make wonderful memories. A shelf for all the trophies and certificates is necessary as well. A wall of fame will definitely boost your child's morale.

Self Adhesive Wall Decorations
Various stores have these self adhesive decorations which look like embossed decorations once you put them up. There are various kinds of decorations for a child's bedroom, such as butterflies, bees and flowers. It can actually give a theme to the kids' room decor and the best part is you can keep changing them, and it does not cost a lot.

Designer Ceilings
Along with the walls, ceilings can also be decorative. A little work with Plaster of Paris to make a nice design on the ceilings make the room look quite interesting and beautiful. Just remember, the ceiling should be at a height while making use of Plaster of Paris designs as they add to the thickness of the walls.

Avoid Clutter
Sometimes, it so happens that in the excitement of decorating walls and rooms we go a bit overboard, where the result is a lot of chaos. You don't want the room to look to chaotic. Do not try and incorporate all of these ideas. My suggestion would be, stick to a theme for the walls, by choosing wallpaper designs for kids room that will match with the wall decorations. Make the room according to what your kids likes are. After all, they are going to be using that room more than anyone else and their opinion must be considered.

These were a few ideas to make the rooms look attractive to kids. A little effort in decorating their room will add that lovely smile on your child's face.
