Choosing the Perfect Slimming Jeans
Jeans is one piece of women's clothing, which is a must-have in everyone's wardrobe. Whether you are going to attend a formal dinner or dressing up casually for a shopping spree or doing some household chores, jeans suit well, feel comfortable and look good in all situations!
Often times, when it comes to picking up a pair of jeans, people are apprehensive as to which one will suit their body type. Today, everyone, irrespective of the gender, wants to look their best. With so much emphasis on looking hot these days, people do not want to settle for anything lesser than a pair of slimming jeans i.e. jeans which make them look thinner than they are!
Choosing Slimming Jeans
The style of the jeans as well as the color and material of which it is made, play a major part in giving you a slimming appearance.
The Colors...
The best jeans for men as well as women are those which are on the darker tone. Go in for blacks and dark blues. Light blue and brown can make you look heavier. So rule number one - stick to the darker shades.
The Style...
Next, we come to the style. Most of the fashion experts recommend boot-cut jeans. These jeans for curvy women snug at the thighs and from below the knees, have a kind of flair. If you search on the Internet, you will find many celebrities and models sporting the boot-cut style. As these jeans are tight at the thighs, they tend to make you look slim.
Another good choice for plus size women is the wide leg jeans. They fit nicely at the waist, however from the thigh they become loose and give a flair near the ankle. They give a straight look to the legs and due to the flair at the ankle, give the illusion of a slimmer waist. Speaking of waists, always go in for the mid-rise ones, which sit below your belly button. Avoid wearing low-waist or high-waist jeans as both will make you look fat! Besides these, skinny, baggy as well as straight cut jeans are a major no no for you.
The Material...
As for the material, the best jeans for curvy women are the stretchable ones as they can really tone you down. Or you can even opt for the jeans which have high cotton lycra blends as they too make the body appear leaner.
How to Wear
When it comes to looking slim, along with getting the perfect pair of denim, equally important is how you wear it. The kind of tops and fashion accessories such as shoes, jewelry, bags and belts that you wear, will ultimately reflect the final look that you get.
For women who are on the curvier side, wearing the jeans with long tops, which fit at the bust and are loose below the waist, will help in hiding the tummy and the rear. Carrying a large handbag on the shoulders, takes the attention away from the body and thus is a must have for all curvier women. High-heeled shoes or sandals, which come with pointed toes, add length to your body and at the same time look sleek. So these can be paired up with slimming jeans for a sexy, tall look!
As for men's clothing, wearing well-fitting (not tight) shirts or T-shirts of dark colors with vertical stripes and designs on them, along with the jeans, is a good idea. Men who are on the heavier side, should avoid wearing large belts as they tend to draw attention to the belly, which is a problem area for most men.
As you can see, creating the illusion of slimming jeans is not that difficult. Choose the right fashion styles and colors, pair them up with some funky accessories and you are way to go!
