How to Pierce Your Belly Button
When it comes to body piercings, the less said, the better! I mean, there are so many different types of piercings available today that sometimes it leaves you astounded and jaw dropped to see people with weirdest of body piercings. Don't get me wrong here, however. Sporting piercings is no crime but too many of unnecessary ones don't look appealing at all and is sheer waste of money, to me at least. But yes, having one or two elegant ones is totally cool! Belly or navel piercing is one which I can't overlook. Those who are blessed with a sexy figure, perfect waistline and toned belly can go for this, rather I would suggest, flaunt! It definitely brings out a lot of feminism and seductiveness along, just what you need to show! Although belly piercing might not seem a DIY project, it can possibly be! It is very much possible to pierce your belly at home safely if you follow the steps given in the following write-up.
As I mentioned, going about it isn't a big deal if you use the right technique and do as suggested in the steps. But before experimenting, I would suggest, you seek help from a professional. He will definitely guide you through the process correctly. Another important aspect is, be sure you really want the piercing done. It is going to pain, consume more of navel piercing healing time and cost you as much, so be prepared for the same. Check and ask few of your friends before you go for the actual act as well. After you are confident, choose the belly button jewelry you want to sport and buy a good quality one. Next, the steps start.
Step 1
As per the requirement, gather all the materials which include the belly rings, alcohol pads, clamp, rubber gloves, body ink marker, mirror, and sterilized piercing needles.
Step 2
When you are ready with the materials, first of all clean the place where you are going to perform the activity with bleach solution. Then, clean yourself, that is the area in and around your belly as well as the piercing part using alcohol pads. Meanwhile, dip the belly button ring in little amounts of alcohol so that it is totally bacteria-free.
Step 3
Wear the rubber gloves and be ready with the piercing needle packet in your hand. Well, I suggest you have someone around while going about the act, someone who would support and help you in case you are tensed.
Step 4
Take the ink marker and mark the position wherein you want the piercing to be done. Mark it to be visible. Now take the clamp, dip it in alcohol once and hold the belly tissue tightly at an angle for the piercing to be just perfect.
Step 5
Take the needle and pierce it immediately on the marked position and push it through. Keep the needle for about 1 minute there and then remove. Do not apply too much of pressure and don't panic. Thread the jewelry through the hole so that it fits in perfectly where you wish to place it. Do not forget to secure the ends properly after you are done. Cleaning belly button piercing with salt water or alcohol is mandatory at the end.
Step 6
Take a sigh of relief coz you are done with the challenging step! As a part of after care, make sure you are aware of the belly button infections and belly piercing scars. For at least 2-3 months, wear loose clothes. Do not touch the jewelry with hands and allow it to heal for as much time as you can give.
If you found the aforementioned steps and belly button piercing care easy, go for it. However, professional piercing is always an alternate option in front of you. And in case you do not wish to go through all this, well fake belly rings would always come to your rescue.
