Natural Black Hairstyles
Black hairstyles are all about curls and braids. Black hair tends to be more fragile in nature, therefore it needs more tender loving care! Braiding is a common hairstyle. Many women in pursuit of these hairstyles often end up using chemical treatments and other processes used for hair braiding. The Afro look is also one such popular look many women still opt for even if they do not have the natural frizz for the hairdo.
Curly Updos
Curly hair can also be styled into a chic bun. Use the following steps to achieve the same. Begin with shampooing and conditioning your hair. Then, towel blot your hair, but do so very gently. Ensure you wipe all the excess moisture. Use a frizz free product and gently apply this to your strands. Then use some amount of mousse and apply this gently through the wet strands, which would ensure you have a right balance of moisture in your curly tresses. Use a wide toothed comb to detangle your curls. Use a diffuser to dry your hair. Do this in small sections. Run your fingers through your hair to gently separate the curls. Then, pull your hair into a tight ponytail and secure this with some elastic. Use your fingers again to tousle the curls. You would now need to twist it into a chignon bun. Tuck the stray strands of the curls under the bun and use bobby pins to hold the bun as well. Apply a hair product that adds more shine to the entire hairdo. You would also need to use a hairspray so that it holds well. Accessorize this look with some elegant hair accessories.
Hair Braids
You can even opt for a variety of hair braids to style your hair and make it look really hip and happening. There are various ways you can plait your beautiful curly tresses. These natural hairstyles would need to be done with the help of a professional. Therefore, before you head off to the parlor, you can probably make a collection of photographs you can use to show the professional. You can opt for the following basic hair braids:
Micro Braids These are also known as pixie braids or the invisible braids. These can be used to sport braids with a professional look.
Cornrows Cornrows have been around for a long time. For this hairstyle, hair is braided tightly and this is done in straight or geometric patterns.
Box Braids Box braids are generally made of 3 or 4 strands of braids that are used to cross over each other.
Afro Hairstyles
Afro hairstyles are extremely popular; hair extends from the head in the shape of a halo. This hairdo is popular on the runways as well. In case the hair is curled too tightly, these can also be straightened slightly to achieve the complete Afro look. Afros have been especially popular with music groups and people from the entertainment industry.
Hairstyles can lend a very unique look to the overall ensemble. In case of complicated hair braids, always remember to consult a professional.
