Where other people are choosing contemporary designs, in order to stand out from the crowd; one of the best options is going in for traditional designs. These designs are also sometimes referred to as old school tattoos.
If you take a look at traditional tattoos, you would notice the characteristics being very simple and the color being standard. Most of the time, these tattoos do not even have colors, but the conventional black. However, if you want to wear a such designs and give a touch of modern art to them, you can select neo-traditional tattoos. Along with traditional designs, these tattoos incorporate modern styles and aspects.
Henna Tattoo Designs
These type of designs are mostly worn by Indian women. They use only henna to draw tattoos, without using any colors. Generally, these are temporary tattoos which fade away after some time. And this gives you the freedom to experiment with a wide range of designs. Traditional henna tattoos consist of flower tattoos and several other varieties of designs related to the Indian culture. They can be worn on the palms, hands, arms, feet, ankles, and almost anywhere on the body.

These tattoos largely include the use of Kanji characters which are Chinese characters made in Japanese writing style. You can make words of your loved ones from these characters. Another option that you can go in for are animals that relate to the Japanese culture. And these include dragon tattoos or snake tattoos. Remember that each of these animals have certain symbolic meanings related to them, so choose your designs after knowing their meanings. You can use Japanese floral designs, with cherry blossoms and lotuses being the most popular. As always, these flower tattoos are most appropriate to be worn by girls.
Hawaiian Tattoo Designs
When it comes to traditional these designs, it is primarily about natural aspects. If you want to get a traditional design done, you can consider designs which include flowers, sea shores, palm trees, ocean waves, a beautiful sunset, beach scenes, and similar things related to the Hawaiian islands. You have the choice of wearing such designs individually or a large tattoo made with most of these designs. These designs are simple, yet creative, due to which more people choose to have them tattooed. Along with these natural patterns, you can also add designs that are worn by tribal people of the Hawaiian islands.
If you do not want to get too traditional in body art, the best way is to opt for neo-traditional tattoo designs. There are many other designs that fall in this category such as cross tattoos, tribal tattoos, Celtic tattoos, religious tattoos, etc.
