Best Hair Color for Blue Eyes
The right hair color can enhance your natural beauty and make you look younger. Changing your hair color is one of the quickest and easiest way to update your overall look. Choosing the right hair color is very important, as your hair color should not only complement the color of your eyes, but it should also flatter your skin tone. If you have blue eyes, then there are quite a few shades of hair color that would look good on you.
Determining your Skin Tone
Before choosing a hair color, you need to determine your skin tone. Take a good look at the the veins of your inner wrist. If the veins in your wrist appear green, then you have a warm skin tone and if they appear blue, then you have a cool skin tone. Another way to determine your skin tone is to hold a pair of silver and gold earrings near your face. If the silver earrings flatters your skin, then you have a cool skin tone and if the gold earrings looks better on you, then you have a warm skin tone.
If you look good in colors like yellow, orange, red and deep browns, then you probably have a warm skin tone. If colors like plum, lavender, emerald green, maroon and navy blue looks good on you, then you probably have a cool skin tone. Once you have determined your skin tone, it's time to find out which are the best hair colors that will flatter your natural skin tone.

Blue Eyes and Warm Skin Tone
If you have a warm skin tone with blue eyes, then some of the best shades of hair color for you are copper, burgundy, chestnut, honey brown, mahogany and golden brown. These rich, warm shades brightens your complexion and makes your blue eyes pop. You can also opt for dark golden hair color with subtle red highlights. Highlights are a great way to add depth and movement to hair. Another good option is to color hair in a soft auburn shade and add fine golden highlights to accentuate blue eyes.
Always opt for a good haircut, before you color your hair, as the right haircut can take years off your face. It is important to note that very dark colors like jet black and dark brown can wash you out and make your complexion look dull and shallow. If you have dark skin with warm undertones and blue eyes, then the best option hair colors for you are shades of copper, red and bronze. Just make sure that the colors look natural and nor brassy.
Blue Eyes and Cool Skin Tone
If you have a cool skin tone, then colors like ash brown, platinum blond and light auburn will look quite attractive. Wheat tones and light brown shades also works very well on women with cool skin tone and blue eyes. A great idea is to go for an overall plum hair color with burgundy highlights along the crown area. Plum and burgundy looks great together and the darkish tint of plum hair color intensifies the color of blue eyes. If you are a natural brunette with blue eyes, then coffee or chestnut hair colors will look quite flattering.
Avoid copper and bronze hair color shades as they tend to make women with cool skin tone look tired and haggard. Generally, the lighter your skin tone, the more lighter you can go with your hair color. Champagne blond and honey blond colors looks gorgeous on women who have a cool skin tone and blue eyes.
If you are not sure whether a particular color will suit you, it is best that you speak to your stylist. No matter what hair color you select, make sure it accentuates your sparkling blue eyes!
