Eyebrow Waxing Tips for Men
Before we go into detailed instructions for eyebrow waxing, it is important for men to know that they need to have a lot of patience to do it. This is because, if you are not careful, you are likely to pull off extra hair, making your eyebrows shapeless. So, if you are really unsure of waxing your eyebrows properly, it would be best to get it done by a professional. However, if you think you can wax your eyebrows on your own, you can invest on a good quality home waxing kit, among the many which are available in the market. Once you have got your kit, you can follow these home waxing tips to wax your eyebrows.
- First, you will have to heat the wax as per the guidelines provided in the home waxing kit. The wax should be hot enough to pull of the brow hair. However, make sure that it is not too warm to avoid ending up burning yourself. For this, touch the wax with your fingertips and if you can bear the heat, you can apply it on your brows.
- With a small toothbrush, brush your eyebrows neatly, so that you could see the natural shape of your eyebrows. After doing this, mentally mark the areas from where you have to remove the hair. Apply a little amount of white hazel on this part of your brow, to minimize the pain which you will feel during the waxing process.
- Take some wax with the spatula which will be available with the eyebrow waxing kit and apply it on the brow area that you have marked. Be careful at this stage, so that not even a drop of wax falls on the rest of the eyebrows. This is because the wax will pull out any hair which it comes in contact with.
- Once you have applied the wax, place the removal strip or a cloth on the area and rub vigorously. Then, take a deep breath and pull out the strip in the opposite direction of hair growth quickly. Though this will cause you a little pain, it will not remain for a long time.
- Repeat the same procedure on the other eyebrow also. After you have done this, you may see a few stray hair on both your brows. However, you need not repeat the entire process again. Rather, you just have to pull out those hair with a pair of tweezers.
- Soon after you wax your eyebrows, you are likely to find some redness as well as irritation on the eyebrow area. This is actually quite normal and will go away after a few minutes. However, applying aloe vera gel will help in soothing your skin and bringing quick relief.
