Good Makeup Tips
'What are some good tips for makeup?", asked my 13-year-old cousin sister. I was surprised to hear this come from her, as at her age we weren't allowed to even think about makeup. Anyway, times change and I was ready to take over the responsibilities of an elder sis and help the younger one with some good tips for makeup for young teens. I know there are plenty of young girls wanting to try makeup and this article is to help enhance their pretty looks. The following are a few tips for school that are subtle and help you discover your natural beauty.
Good Make Up Tips for School
Many young girls starting middle school, tend to worry about their looks and what they should wear. You should first understand what is your personality and the highlights of your natural features and work towards enhancing them. You should wear only those colors that suit you and clothes that you are comfortable in. You should not just blindly ape the teenagers in magazines and TVs or the girls in school. You need to create your own identity and not end up looking like a copy cat doll. The trick to create your own look is by first accepting yourself as you are and then working towards some natural ways to enhance your features.
Tips for 12 Year Old
A makeup kit for a 12 year old should include cosmetics like a lip gloss, mascara and some pale eyeshadow. Do not wear heavy makeup and eye shadow as it does not suit your age. As sixth grader you need to wear makeup as little as possible. This is when your skin is prone to developing pimples and acne. Heavy makeup will just make matters worse and you will end up with a pimple prone face.
Tips for 13 Year Olds
The seventh grade is the beginning of your teenage years and you need to take care about how you look. You need to use a foundation if your skin is acne prone. You should first try it on weekends to understand the amount and the method of spreading the foundation. Ask your mom or older sister if it looks fine. A foundation that is not applied properly may end up making you look really bad.
As a 13-year-old, you may move on to wearing an eyeliner. Try applying a thin line and use eyeliner that doesn't smudge as you do not want it to run off and give you a black eye. You can even try out some eye shadow and mascara. You should also wear tinted lip gloss to add color to your lips. The following good make up tips will serve as a guide of how to wear makeup to school.
Makeup Tips
The first thing to remember in is to wash your face with a cleanser. This will help prevent pimples and keep your face looking clean and soft. Then you need to gently massage a face moisturizer when your face is a bit damp. Then apply foundation by rubbing it inwards to give it a neat look. Then you can groom the eyebrows and lashes with a brow and lash comb to help give them a proper shape (if required). You need to now apply a soft color eye shadow to give your eyes a natural look. Do not go in for really dark colors as it will not be appropriate for your age.
Next, you need to apply a natural color eye liner like black, brown or dark blue. It is better to use an eye liner pencil and not liquid. If you are inexperienced in applying eye liner, you may smudge it all over the eye. If needed, you can apply a black, brown or clear mascara over the lashes. To highlight and add dimension to your cheeks, you need to apply a light blush or bronzer. Apply a lip balm over the lips to moisturize them and then wear lip color. You can add a bit more shine to your lips by applying a coat of lip gloss over your lipstick. You need to add some touch ups on the face in areas you missed with your foundation. Blend the foundation well around the jaw line. If the neck is a bit darker shade than your face skin color, you need to apply a bit more foundation on the neck.
Makeup at a young age should be avoided. However, if you are inclined towards makeup, then keep it to the minimal. You need to uncover your natural beauty with makeup and not try to improve your looks.
