Tuxedos for Women
You would have commonly heard and read about tuxedos as a popular formal wear for men. Well, tuxedos are not any more restricted to men, with women too opting for these. For those who do not wear dresses, tuxedos are a perfect pick. With tuxedos becoming a popular fashion trend amongst women, you can find a huge variety in these if you search the formal section, apart from the regular women's formals.
How to Wear Tuxedos
Tuxedos are a perfect piece of formal wear, especially worn for a black tie event. These are also popularly known as black tie attire or dinner jacket. A complete tuxedo package is usually made up of black jacket, black pants, black bow tie, black shoes, black socks and a white shirt. Sometimes a black cummerbund is also added to the attire. With the new trends in women's clothing which are not restricted with colors and patterns you can also find designer tuxedos and those in other dark shades as well.
Options Available
Browns, gray, navy, and maroon can be colors commonly seen in women's tux. White tuxedos look extremely classy. Wedding tuxedos are often seen in white or other light shades like baby pink. You can go for a single or double breasted tuxedo jacket. The single breasted piece look more stylish. You will definitely need to have pants matching the jacket and having a satin strip running down each leg.
Don't hesitate to experiment while choosing a piece from various available styles. Search for those with fancy lapels. Some have a satin border for the lapel, some are plain. You can choose from varying styles that include the shawl collar lapel, peak lapel or notch lapel. Cummerbund is another thing that you can experiment with. Go for the plain one or the pleated one with upper facing pleats or just skip it.
When you pick up a shirt to match with tuxedos, it need not be a simple white shirt. You can go for a shirt with turned up cuffs which is a simply awesome piece to be paired with tuxedos. Apart from this, you can go for one with covered button panel. A white tux blouse is also a good choice for completing that women's formal attire.
You can opt to pair tuxedo jacket with a formal skirt made of same material. This is a great option to go for if you want to dress up in a semi formal attire. You can choose from various styles of formal skirts. Go for the one with slit at the back or that with a slit on one side. You can also pick from high waist or regular waist skirt.
Make sure you go for good brands and best quality tuxedos made of wool. Remember that those made of polyester are known to be cheaper and are a strict no-no for a formal event. Women with fuller figures can go for plus- size tuxedos. Those females who want to don that out-of-the-crowd look for a formal or semi-formal event, tuxedos for women are the best ones to go for. Pairing it with minimum accessories and a right dress shoe you are sure to look a charming lady. Don't forget to hold a matching leather clutch to give a finishing touch to your attire.
