Hair colors give a stylish and trendy touch to your appearance. Most of you would love to experiment with the color and stay modish. It is the most spectacular and the easiest way to change your look. If you are planning to get your hair colored, then just follow some basic hair color instructions. Coloring is not just about selecting a color and applying it over your locks. You need to take proper care during and after this process. After getting your hair colored, if you realize that it is not looking good, then you can opt for one of the removers available in the market. Following the instructions mentioned below will ensure that you get the best results.
Choose the Right Hair Color
This is the most important part of the whole hair coloring experiment. You need to choose the right color. Remember, highlights and coloring everything is different. You might love the blonde highlights in your friend's hair, but a complete blonde look might look weird. So think about your hair type, hair length and your complexion. You can go through some fashion magazines for ideas and find out how your favorite shade of color looks.
Test the Hair Color for Skin Reaction
Do a patch test to check whether there is any allergic reaction on your skin. Put a small amount of color on your skin and leave it untouched for 20 minutes. Wash it off, if there is any allergic reaction on the skin, and don't use the color.
Strand Test
Strand test is one of the most important steps. Take three drops of color and three drops of developer in a plastic bowl and mix them well. Apply on an inner strand of your hair with the help of a hair brush. Tie the remaining hair aside with help of claw clips. Leave it for 25 minutes and wash it off. Check the color of this strand after it is completely dry. If you are still not sure, you must try coloring another strand. Be patient, don't be in a hurry to color all your hair. It is advisable to do the strand test and start coloring only after you are satisfied with the resulting shade.
