How to Hide Ear Piercings
Piercing are a form of self-expression and fashion, however, not all feel as sentimentally about them as we do. Many parents, as well as employers, associate any form of body piercing with rebellious and foolhardy attitude. Which is, to think of it, not set in stone. Every individual wears piercings for their own personal reason, and as a matter of choice. It does not define their behavior pattern into one single category in any possible way. Hiding the piercings also depends a lot on what type of ear piercings you have! Nonetheless, if your piercings are bound to cause trouble, you might as well learn to hide them.
Best Way to Hide Ear Piercings
1 - Use Clear Ear Piercings
If you have had your ears pierced recently, and cannot remove them for the next few weeks, you might as well buy yourself some clear and flat ear studs. These are absolutely translucent, which makes them blend with your skin tone. There are also certain brands which sell skin colored ear studs. You can buy one that matches with your skin color, and you'll be all set to face your parents or boss!
2 - Keep Your Hair Long
The simpler alternative for those with longish hair would be to set your hair in such a way that it covers your ears. Side bangs are an excellent option for this feat. Just let the hair flow over the ears so that it doesn't look abnormal and you look presentable to your parents and at school.
3 - Tiny Ear Piercings
If you cannot get your hands on the clear ear studs, you may instead try going in for ultra small ear studs. When I say small, I mean tiny, flat and minuscule! Go in for the ones that match your skin tone, or which do not attract any attention.
4 - Use Just the Stem
If you have no choice you can try using clear ear studs and cut the top and use only the stem. This way your piercing will remain intact and the piercing will not close. The stem will stay hidden inside the earlobe and no one will be able to tell any better!
5 - Accessorize
If you can manage to get away with it, try wearing a scarf around your head so that it covers your ears. If not, try wearing a hat which slides to one side covering one ear, while your hair covers the other ear. You can even try wearing winter caps, however you'll need to wait for winter in order to manage that.
7 - Use Concealer
You cannot use makeup on fresh piercings as it may cause an ear infection. If your ear piercings are old, then you can simply wear your ear studs while at school or when parents are around. You can cover the opening with a concealer matching your skin tone.
8 - Remove Them When Needed
If your piercings are not fresh and already healed, you can simply not wear your earrings for certain occasions and places. After which you can wear them back again.
The above mentioned ideas on hiding ear piercings are some of the tried, tested and successfully accomplished ones. Nonetheless, if a simple ear piercing is causing you so much trouble, it's better to either not get one at all, or stop wearing them completely. This will ensure that the piercing closes on its own after a few months. Until then, you can cover it up with makeup.
