Salt Scrubs Using Sea Salt
Sea salt scrub is the perfect counteraction for dry scaly skin that you get in winters. Follow the steps below for hydrated and supple skin.
Method 1
Ingredients
- Sea salt (1 cup)
- Sweet almond oil/extra virgin olive oil/baby oil (1 and a half cups)
In a bowl, mix and stir the salt and the oil; and store in a jar. Use this scrub twice a week for amazing skin. You can also add in a few drops of essential oils that you like.
Method 2
Ingredients
- Sea salt (2 cups)
- Vitamin E (8 capsules)
- Honey (2 tablespoons)
- Aloe vera baby oil/soya oil (1 cup)
Take an airtight container and combine all the ingredients in this. Then, you need to break open the vitamin E capsules into this mixture. Ensure that you squeeze out all the vitamin E into this preparation. Blend all the ingredients together.
Salt Scrubs using Epsom Salt
Epsom salt helps the skin absorb nutrients and flush out toxins. It soothes nerves, aches, and helps to ease stress.

Ingredients
- Epsom salt (2 cups)
- Oil (1 cup)
- Glycerin (1/4 oz.)
- Rosemary essential oil (10 drops)
- Peppermint essential oil (10 drops)
Simply mix the oil with the glycerin. Then, stir in the salt and gently add the essential oils to this preparation.

Ingredients
- Epsom salt (1 cup)
- Jojoba oil (3-4 drops)
- Baking Soda (1 tablespoon)
Mix the ingredients well and store in a glass jar. You could use a small spoon to scoop out the scrub so that no moisture gets into the jar. You can also add a few rose petals to your scrub.

- Fresh basil
- Aloe vera extract (2 tablespoons)
Mix the oil, aloe vera extract, salt crystals and basil leaves. Make sure that the basil leaves are completely dry before mixing into the oil and salt. Store the scrub in a dark, tinted glass bottle so that it lasts longer.

- Dried lavender
- Essential oils (mint or rosemary)
First, mix the lavender, oil, and a few drops of essential oil together in a bowl. After the oils have blended well, add the salt crystals and stir well.
